Pride 2026, the Studio Shade community, and what's to come
June 2026 · Studio Shade
Studio Shade started as a small personal house on Jenova. The first sets I ever made were Pride flags. That was four years ago.
Seventy-four rooms later, I’m still making them.
Pride 2026
Pride wasn’t a theme I planned around. It was just what I wanted to make. A few flags in a starter house, some colour, some light – and not thinking about an audience at all. I didn’t know then that it would become the thing I kept coming back to, or that the project would grow into what it is now: 74 rooms across the FC house chambers and the Project Wisp apartment sets, all of it built by hand, all of it made from genuine love of FFXIV housing.
For a while, there was a Discord community around it. The studio’s first look book of sorts.
I’m grateful for the people who cared – and I want to be honest that I recently closed that chapter. I got tired. Not of the work, never of the work, but of the weight that comes when something you do quietly for love becomes something people feel entitled to have opinions about. How I work. What tools I use. What I owe them. I don’t owe anyone a methodology. These sets exist because I wanted them to, and I never asked for creative input.
What's New
This year’s sets are the most I’ve ever put on display at once. With the removal of the community and the addition of this website, it has been a busy month.
I’ll be adding room-specific details and screenshots as I make changes. That probably means a few remodels too (I am looking at the 7 Deadly Sins series first, likely the Astrology series next).

TL;DR
Four years from a single house on Jenova to 74 rooms today. Studio Shade is still just me, still just part of a game I love, and still exactly what I want it to be. Happy Pride.
